Emily (Milly) Monette, MAcOM, LAc.

Milly has been passionate about pursuing a career in medicine from a young age. She was first introduced to Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine when she started working as a receptionist for an acupuncture fertility clinic in Virginia. She saw what a powerful medicine it was, and how little it was being utilized in our Western medical system. From there she packed up her house and moved across the country where she pursued and received a Master's of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine degree from the Arizona School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Tucson, Arizona. She is a nationally board certified acupuncturist by the NCCAOM and a licensed acupuncturist by the Oregon Medical Board.

Milly enjoys employing various theories of acupuncture in her treatments, namely Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Saam Korean acupuncture, and Five Element acupuncture. Apart from acupuncture needles, you might expect other modalities in your treatment such as cupping, moxibustion, gua sha, tuina, Chinese herbal medicine, and lifestyle recommendations. One of Milly’s favorite aspects of Chinese Medicine is the individualistic approach to each patient, so you can be sure that each treatment plan is tailored specifically to your own unique health needs.

Milly believes in fostering a warm and supportive environment where all patients are welcome and feel empowered and cared for every step of their health journey. She uses the guiding Chinese Medicine principle of harmony in all treatments, working to restore balance in the body at every visit. Milly considers healthcare a team effort involving attentive care from the practitioner and active participation from the patient, and she would be thrilled to be part of your team.

Some things outside the clinic that make Milly happy are hiking in the mountains, being around any body of water, and petting all dogs or cats that she can get her hands on.
